SHORT VIDEOS - CALCULATING DISTANCES USING LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE
Latitudes are imaginary lines that go from east to west. There are 90 lines above the Equator, and 90 lines below it. Longitude are also imaginary lines, but they go from north to south. There are 180 on the right side of Greenwich, England, and 180 lines on the left side of it. When calculating latitudes, that means you are calculating distances from north to south or vice versa. When calculating longitudes, you are calculating distances from East to west or vice versa.
